Lahore: Government of Punjab took final decision that no Entry test for Engineering and Medical Programs. Here is good news for all the students of Punjab who desire to have admission in Medical and Engineering Universities in Punjab that Government of the Punjab has announces that there is no need of Entry Test for the sake of admission in any Medical and Engineering University of Punjab. Govt. Punjab End of Entry Test for MCAT & ECAT (Medical & Engineering). There was complaints were receiving to Government of the Punjab by the students that due to Entry Test system they are unable to get admission for Medical or Engineering Programs and in the complaints Punjab Government also notice maximum students oppose the Entry Test system for getting admission in Medical and Engineering Programs.
Education Committee took the decision in the meeting which was held under the supervision of Law Minister of Punjab Mr. Rana Mashood on September 20, 2014. In the meeting vice chancellors of different universities were also present and in the end of meeting the committee took the final decision that there is no need of any entry test for getting admission in medical and engineering universities of Punjab.
The final decision took by the Education Commission to oppose Entry Test for medical and engineering programs is applicable for the next year and from the next year students need not to prepare for any entry test for getting admission in any Engineering and medical Universities of Punjab.
It is a good news for the students but it is a bad news for all those educational institute who provide facility for the preparation of MCAT & ECAT. Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shehbaz Sharif will take the final decision about the entry test and after that new criteria for getting admission will be announced soon. This is an excellent decicion as it will end the business of KIps and star.Students in backward area have no knowledge of mcat and ecat furthermore they have to travel many hours for test day.The physic portion is such whick even qualified teacher of our area cant solve.We thank gov for ending this furore
