The Prime Minister of Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif has announced the Laptop Scheme 2014. The Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s Scheme for distribution of Laptops is a step to enhance the scope of research and quality education in the country and to increase the awareness of technology among the students. Before these schemes Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif has awarded free laptops among all students of Punjab who had got 60% and 70% marks in annual and semester system respectively. The announcement of laptop distribution by the PM Nawaz Sharif for students is appreciate able step and for this time PM’s Scheme will provide free 100 thousands laptops to brilliant and intelligent students, who are currently studying at public sector Colleges and universities of all Boards of Pakistan in which Matriculation, Intermediate, Bachelors, Masters and MPhill and Ph.D. is included. The Prime Minister’s Scheme for Laptop Distribution will be held in all over the Pakistan and this time this scheme will facilitate the brilliant students studying in every corner of Pakistan.

Eligibility Criteria:
Students included both male and female, who are registered in an HEC approved educational institution will be eligible for PM’s Laptop Scheme. Moreover all students at Masters Level and 50% under-graduate students will also facilitate by the laptop scheme.
Geographical Distribution:
The Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s Laptop Scheme will held in all over the Pakistan, students registered in an HEC approved institute from across the Pakistan can get benefit from the laptop scheme and 100,000 students from across Pakistan will be facilitate by laptop scheme.
Estimated Cost Per Laptop:
According to previous Laptop scheme, we can estimate the cost of each laptop and it is estimated that each laptop will cost Rs. 40,000.
Laptop Scheme’s Budget Allocation:
The laptop scheme’s allocated budget is Rs. 4.0 billion. This amount is mentioned by the Government of Pakistan in its report about the Laptop Scheme.
Executing Departments:
The Higher Education Commission (HEC) / Ministry of Education and Trainings will perform its duty in the fare distribution of laptops. As Government of the Punjab has successfully implemented the scheme and provided free laptops to students of Punjab in the past. And that project was declared fare and fine Transparency International Pakistan and there was not little corruption was found in CM’s laptop scheme.

Sir, You have mentioned in your statement that your purpose of distribution of laptop is to promote research among the studenets……. then i wanted to ask that why didn’t you or your team mentioned the name of top rank university in Pakistan, Quaid-i-azam university, Isalamabad in the eligibility list…… The Quaid-i-azam university, Islamabad is not only top rank university in pakistan but it also has a reputed name in research work…….. The universities which come under punjab territory will entertain from the CM punjab laptop scheme and in PM laptop scheme most of the universities are mentioned which are also in punjab, it’s really strange……. As you know that Quaid-i-azam university, Islamabad is come under federal area and your statement about this scheme is to promote research among the students and on the other side, you have not mentioned the name of QAU, Islamabad in the eligibility list of universities which shows this that you are not only deviating from your statement but also it shows that there is a big question mark (?????) on the credibility of this scheme…….. In the end i just say that on the behalf of laptop scheme if really you don’t want to bright your politics and you really want to promote the research work among the students then you and your team first priority should and must have the Quaid-i-azam university, Islamabad.

A.O.A sir ma apki bohat bari fane ho . ap na hm students ko bht fasilities di han , or scholarship bi di jati han , ma hamesha apk liye dua karti ho , k apki madad sa mari study jari ha , ap hamaray wellwisher han , ALLAH TALLAH apko hamesha kamyab karay , or muja laptop ki zarorat ha , or ma umeed karti ho k ap muja laptop scheme ma zrozr select karen gay , ma apk response ka wait karongi , GOD BLESS YOU , ALLAH HAFIZ……….
Why private medical colleges are not included in this scheme…
Why we are treated like we are not pakistanis..we have no right on any facility..
All private students doesn’t mean this they can afford all things..
If respected prime minister policy is on truly merit based then i think me nd my other fellows are all eligible..
Sir you should rise your criteria merit by 10% but also include private college nd uni students…
This will call merit nd appreciation of talent…
