What is the PMA Long Course?

The PMA Long Course is a 02 years training program conducted for the regular commission officers of battle and combat support arms & services in the Pakistan Army. It is carried out at the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) in Kakul, KPK.

The PMA Long Course provide cadets with military skills and knowledge, making them more effective for the Pak Army. The course covers a wide range of subjects, which are listed below.

• Weapon handling and training

• Leadership and teamwork

PMA Long Course 155 2024 Online Registration

Candidates who want to join PMA Long Course 155 in 2024 can register online through the official Pakistan Army website or submit their applications at the nearest Army Selection and Recruitment Center.

While applying online, the candidates must check the eligibility criteria; after that, they must complete the Registration Procedure, selection of test centre, Initial Test, Physical Test, Final Interview, and Training Session Schedule.

Eligibility Criteria for Second Lieutenant:

1. Intermediate or Equivalent degree holders with ages from 17 to 22 years are eligible to apply.
2. Graduation (2 Years Degree) holder and Serving Pakistan Navy / Pakistan Air Force with age 17 to 23 years are eligible to apply.
3. Graduation (4 Years Programme) BS / BA (Hon) / BBA / BPA pass with age from 17 to 24 years are eligible to apply.
4. Serving Army Soldiers aged between 17 to 25 years are eligible to apply.

• Gender: Only Male candidates are eligible to apply.
• Marital Status: Fresh candidates should be unmarried, but Married serving personnel of the Armed Forces over 20 years of age are also eligible to apply.
• Nationality: Pakistani citizens with a domicile in any province of Pakistan, including Azad Kashmir / Gilgit-Baltistan, are eligible to apply. The final selection of candidates with dual nationality will have to surrender the nationalities of other countries.

Physical Requirements:

1. Minimum Height: Every candidate should have a minimum height of 5’ Feet – 4” Inches (162.5 cm).
2. Visual Standard: Distance Vision with glasses should be 6/9, 6/12, and Near Vision should be J2, J7, N8, N12, with or without glasses.
3. Weight: as per the Body Mass Index.

Required Documents:

Below is the documents list which are required while applying for the PMA Long Course 155

• An original certificate and detailed mark sheet of Matriculation, FA, FSC, or equivalent degree, as well as attestation, are required.
• The candidates who are over 18 must bring their CNIC, and those who are under 18 should provide a Computerized Form “B” or the CNIC of their parent/guardian.
• 3 passport-size photos that must be attested by a Grade 16 officer.
• If you are an army candidate, then you need a photocopy of the ISSB “Recommended” letter.
• All documents must be attested by a Grade 16 officer.

PMA Long Course is only available for male candidates, but females do not have to worry. The PMA also offers many other courses for females, such as Lady Cadet and AFNS Course; females join the Pak Army after intermediate. Below are the details.

Selection Criteria:

1. Preliminary Tests start from 28th Oct to 07th Nov 2024.
2. In the selection procedure, every candidate has to undergo first Written / Intelligence Tests based on multiple-choice questions from English, Maths, Pak Studies, Islamiat, and General Knowledge.
3. After Written / Intelligence Tests, qualified candidates will undergo Physical/medical tests and interviews at AS&RCs.

Physical Test for Females

During the Physical Test, candidates have to pass the following tasks given below.

• 1.6 Km Running a task in 8 minutes.
• Push-Ups 15 repetitions in 2 minutes.
• Sit Ups 20 repetitions in 2 minutes.
• Chin Ups 3 repetitions in 2 minutes.
• Ditch Crossing through 7’.4” x 7’.4” and 4’ deep.

Successful candidates from the Physical test will undergo the Psychological assessment test and then the qualified candidates will appear for a final interview in front of the selection board at AS&RC.
